Definitive Answers From A 'Broad-Based Coalition
Representing American Business And Agriculture'

What do you do if your business is being affected by trade sanctions? A group of corporations who asked this question of their own market have formed a group, USA*ENGAGE, that hopes to answer this question definitively.

Whether or not this "broad-based coalition representing American business and agriculture" will have any effect on the policies of the U.S. government remains to be seen. What is interesting about USA*ENGAGE (http://www.usaengage.org) is its mission.

The members of the coalition want the ability to examine unilateral trade sanction initiatives to determine whether or not these sanctions will hamper U.S. competitiveness overseas. According to USA*ENGAGE, "American values are best advanced by engagement of American business and agriculture in the world, not by ceding markets to foreign competition" as a result of trade sanctions.

Recent news and press releases and a media briefing station provide some information about the USA*ENGAGE mission, but what truly stands out at this Web site is the collection of resources, both on and offline, that the organization has compiled. From materials produced within the USA*ENGAGE membership to complete texts of legislative testimony, the Resources section of USA*ENGAGE is well-worth a surf for anyone in the business world.

In addition to an impressive list of resources, USA*ENGAGE boasts an impressive membership, both in size and in clout. Current membership includes such corporate giants as American Express, Mobil Corp. and Procter & Gamble, and the organization offers an online information form for interested companies.
